I believe that a trusting and genuine therapeutic relationship is the foundation for successful therapy. The development of self-reflection, mindfulness, forgiveness, and intentionality are important aspects of my approach. With a focus on creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where you will feel safe to explore, I will gently challenge you to see new perspectives and solutions. My style is direct, relational, and empowering. In my free time, I am passionate about engaging with my community, exploring in nature, the arts, live music, and connecting over great food.

Although I treat a wide range of clinical concerns, my areas of specialty include trauma recovery, mood and anxiety concerns, life and role transitions, improving relationships, and increasing work/life harmony. I particularly enjoy working with high achieving professionals looking to excel interpersonally and in their careers, and have a detailed understanding of the needs and challenges facing those working at startups and within the technology industry.

Training & experience

I graduated from Gonzaga University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I attended The Chicago School of Professional Psychology’s APA Accredited Clinical Psychology program in Chicago, IL, and received my Master of Arts in 2013, and my doctorate in 2016. I completed my Predoctoral Internship at the Federal Medical Center, Carswell, in Fort Worth, TX. My training and experience are rooted in Psychodynamic and Relational Theory, Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness-based modalities, as well as Feminist and Existential frameworks. I have a strong foundation in psychological assessment, individual and group psychotherapy, program development and evaluation, and the supervision and training of clinicians. I also am an adjunct professor for the Clinical PsyD program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including inpatient treatment programs, outpatient clinics, as well as county, state, and federal jails and prisons. For the last three years, I have enjoyed diving into private practice ownership and longterm therapeutic work.
